Dustin T. Johnson
Founder & Chairman

Dustin Johnson is the founder of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Baseball Classic. A recent graduate of Texas A&M University's sport management program, Johnson organized the first baseball related event to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children with the Karem Shriners in Waco, Texas. Since the first event in 2010, the concept of hosting youth baseball events has spread across Texas and other regions across the United States. The 2012 hospital baseball initiative reached 3,300 participants and families, helping to generate funds and spread awareness to the mission of Shriners Hospitals for Children. He currently oversees all operations of each event across the country.
Johnson, 22, was raised a Master Mason at Zavala Lodge #1059 in Dallas, Texas in August of 2009. That December, he also became the youngest Shriner in the history of the international organization at age 18. He is an active member of the Karem Shriners in Waco where he also serves as the chapter’s Sports Ambassador. He also belongs to the Waco Scottish Rite Bodies where he is a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. He serves on the Promotions & Development Committee for the Scottish Rite Foundation of Texas. Johnson was recently presented with the “Potentate’s Award of Excellence,” the highest individual honor the Waco chapter of Shriners International can present to a member. In 2012, he became an honorary member of the Omar Shriners in Charleston, South Carolina and the Khiva Shriners in Amarillo, Texas.
Johnson’s sport related experiences are extensive for his age. During his freshman year in high school, he co-founded Waco Thunder Baseball, Inc. and has served the six-team, non-profit organization in multiple capacities including Director of Operations and President of the Board of Directors. Johnson has also spent several years coaching at Midway Little League and the Waco Challenger Little League for children with physical and or mental disabilities. In recognition of his volunteer work, Johnson was honored with the prestigious Jefferson Award for Public Service presented by the American Institute for Public Service at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in April of 2009. He has also worked closely with the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, the East-West Shrine College All-Star Football Game, and the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas.
