John Morris
Advisory Board Member

A true Central Texas icon, John Morris has been a permanent fixture for sports throughout Waco, Texas for decades. The "Voice of the Bears," enters his 26th year broadcasting Baylor football and men's basketball in 2012-2013. The Kentucky native also produces the daily "State Farm Baylor SportsBeat," daily Big XII reports and co-hosts the award-winning "Inside Baylor Sports" television show for NBC and FOX Sports Southwest. Morris also hosts the "State Farm Baylor Hour" and a daily 60-minute program, "The John Morris Show," on Waco's 1660 ESPN Radio. This is Morris' 17th year as signature voice of Baylor athletics since succeeding the legendary Frank Fallon. In November 2002, he was presented the Frank Fallon Sportsmanship Award by the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to accepting his current position as Assistant Athletic Director of Broadcasting at Baylor University, Morris spent 15 years as the sports director for Waco's CBS affiliate station, KWTX. The 1980 graduate of Baylor University is also on staff for Baylor IMG, the company with exclusive multi-media rights for the school's highly successful 19-sport intercollegiate athletics program.
Morris can also be routinely found announcing games at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Baseball Classic in Waco or serving as master of ceremonies for SHCBC related events.
