Wayne Lachut is serving his second year as the official event representative of Shriners International for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Baseball Classic. Lachut is in his third year as a member of the Boards of Directors for Shriners International and Shriners Hospitals for Children. He was elected Imperial Marshal, part of the 13-member body that helps govern the Shriners fraternity, during the Shriners’ 2012 Imperial Session – held in Charlotte on July 1-5.
 

Lachut is a lifelong resident of the Buffalo, New York area. Currently, he is a broker/owner with McMahon Insurance Agency, a member of the EMS Group – one of the largest agencies in New York State. He is also a managing partner of Highland Plaza Management Inc., a holding company for commercial and residential property.

Lachut is a member of Livingstone Lodge #255, Colden, New York. He is also member of the Scottish Rite and the York Rite. He joined Ismailia Shriners in 1981 and served as Potentate in 2000. He was president of the New York Ontario Shrine Association in 2005-2006. Lachut is a past Chairman of the Board of Governors of Shriners Hospitals for Children – Erie and is currently serving as an emeritus member.

In addition to serving as a Shriners International representative for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Baseball Classic, Lachut also serves on committees for other high profile sporting events including the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open on the PGA TOUR’s FedEx Cup series, as well as the East-West Shrine College All-Star Football Game.
